Welcome To
Jesus’ Sermon On The Mount

Study Twenty-Four

Mat 5:32 (NIV) But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

Mat 5:34-35 (NIV) But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

Mat 5:39 (NIV) But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Mat 5:44-45 (NIV) But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

The Holy Spirit is your Spirit of truth for bringing the life and ministry of Jesus into your life and ministry.

I, JESUS, TELL YOU THE TRUTH
Mat 5:18 (NIV) I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Mat 6:2 (NIV) So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, they have received their reward in full.

Mat 6:5 (NIV) And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, they have received their reward in full.

Mat 6:16 (NIV) When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, they have received their reward in full.

Mat 8:8-10 (NIV) The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, He was astonished and said to those following Him, “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”

Mat 10:14 (NIV) If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

Mat 10:40-42 (NIV) He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One Who sent Me.
Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward. And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, he will certainly not lose his reward.

Mat 17:19-20 (NIV) Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Mat 18:2 (NIV) He called a little child and had him stand among them. And He said: “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Mat 18:18-20 (NIV) I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them.

Mat 25:40 (NIV) The King will reply, “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.”

How do we know all these truths? Jesus, through the Gospels, told us all these truths! How are others going to learn and start living on the basis of all these truths? Us teaching them to expose themselves to the life and ministry of Jesus will help them get all these truths. Jesus is telling us truths that we NEVER knew before. We would have been in the dark and lived on the basis of the darkness. But, Jesus TOLD US THE TRUTH. That is what us yielding to the life and ministry of Jesus will do for us and all those around us.
