The tenth course, The Good News, comes out of a victorious life.
- The Pursuit of God: It is hard to present a good news message, when we are living far below all God has for us. The main reason we live far below all God has for us is because we don’t really trust Him. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament are filled with good news. It takes a solid Biblical understanding for us to be able to see the plan. God is not only being loving and kind in the Old Testament, He is building the foundation for all the good news we are sent to proclaim. The good new wasn’t an easy provision for God to make available to us. God had to do a lot of incredible things to make it available; but, once we see what it took, we will love Him and His good news.
- The Greatness of God: It is good news that the One Who is running the universe is powerful enough and loving enough to transform anyone who wants it. It is good news that there is a God so great that He will do ANYTHING to help those who believe in Him. It is great news that there is no evil being that is powerful enough to take the blessings of God from us. The good news tells us just how great our heavenly Father is. And, it is a message that we can share with everyone. God is so great that He doesn’t hold all He is from anyone.
- The Dream: The next main reason is because we don’t see God’s great plan for our future. If God’s dream for our lives isn’t being lived out, we don’t have much to say about the good news. When the dynamic plan of God starts to flow for us, we get excited about Christianity and want to share it with others. The greater God’s dream is fulfilled in us, the more we believe in the same good news for others.
- The Children of God: As we start to realize that God loves us with an incredible love and has a very exciting plan for our life, we often still struggle because we can’t figure out why God would want to bless us so abundantly. It sometimes isn’t obvious to us that, that is simply the way He treats His children. It isn’t because we are such great children; it is because He is such a great and gracious Father. One of the greatest aspects of the good news is the fact that we can all become His children. When we experience the tremendous life as God’s child, it helps us want others to have the same relationship with our heavenly Father. God’s children are so excited about Him that the good news flows out of us naturally.
- The Word of God: God tries to make it clear to His children, in His Word, that He treats them special. But, we can allow the reading and study of His Word to go neglected for several days. When we really see the truths of God’s Word, we find ourselves living a whole new life of victory. Joy starts to fill our hearts and, before we know it, we start sharing the good news of our lives with all those around us. All these breakthroughs enhance our communication with God.
In other words, it is like a snow ball rolling down a hill. The more it rolls, the more snow it picks up, and the bigger it gets. The more we experience the truths of God’s Word, the more breakthroughs we get. The more breakthroughs we get, the more excited we become. The more excited we become, the more people we tell. The more people we tell, the more miracles are worked in their lives. The more that happens, the more excited we get. It just keeps on growing in us and those around us in a powerful and miraculous way.

- Hearing God’s Voice: One of the greatest pieces of the good news message is the fact that you can have a close and intimate relationship with your heavenly Father. And, one of the greatest aspects of that relationship is being able to hear His voice. God speaks His good news into your mind as He assists your thoughts to think good news things. He influences your ideas, thoughts, feelings, words, and actions by pouring into you His good news message. As He explains what the Bible means and shows you how to live it in everyday life, you begin to live out the good news message.
- God’s Answers to Prayer: Prayer is another factor in living the victorious life. A lot of people don’t have a victorious life because they have never asked God for one. The Bible says that we often don’t get things simply because we have never asked for them. Because we don’t have an open line of communication with God, it keeps us from feeling like sharing the good news about God. But, the moment our communication opens up between us and God, we fall in love with God in a new and fresh way. This causes us to love Him so much that we want to help everyone we know to feel the same way about Him.
- The Kingdom: By getting closer and closer to God we soon see the eternal characteristics of our heavenly Father. Because we have become His children, we get these same eternal characteristics. When we only see things from a temporal world view, it keeps us from getting excited about God’s future Kingdom. It’s the eternal concepts concerning God’s future Kingdom that contain much concerning the good news. It is really good news to find out that the best is yet to come.
- Born to Win: One of the greatest producers of the good news comes from you realizing that you were born to win. If you aren’t winning at the Christian life, you will doubt that anyone else will either. The good news is, you and everyone you meet were all born to win now and forever. We must all be helped to win in a powerful and God-sized way. Winners spread the good news more than anyone else. Winning gives us a whole new attitude about everything. Out of that winning attitude comes excitement that empowers the good news message to flow with joy and happiness.
