Jesus understands that each person comes into these programs with a certain amount of knowledge, abilities, and success. There may be subjects that you are already familiar with. But, once again, Jesus isn’t just trying to inform you, He is trying to help you be successful at life. If you are very familiar with a certain subject but are still having difficulties with getting results from it, then you should want to go ahead and read the book. Jesus’ objective with these books is to help you take steps and use His procedures for getting those things you may already know.

If you feel you are already living on the basis of a particular principle from Jesus, then you can either review the material or move on. Jesus uses these books to actually give the Biblical steps for getting His things working and being lived out in your life. Too many times you can keep getting more and more information about what He offers; but, the how for getting it and taking advantage of it is missing. Getting, living, being, and fulfilling are your objective; not just reading, learning, knowing, and memorizing.

Jesus deals in creative power more than He deals with instructions. When you read the books written by humans, you are the only power for fulfilling the instructions. When you read Jesus’ Book, the Bible, you are reading information that speaks power, faith, and transformation into your life. It helps you become that kind of person. Rather than you having to take information and try to live it, you get power from Jesus to become that person.

When Jesus tells a storm what to do, He speaks a power that changes the weather. When He tells a dead person to come alive, He speaks a power that brings them back to life. When the Bible says something to you, it is trying to get you to use your God-given free will to accept that creative information. When you believe that information and accept it as true, it creates a miracle in you and the events of your life.

Power can be wonderful and can also be dangerous. It all depends on who is using what kind of power. If a child is playing with a toy car, their lack of experience, training, and character may be fine for that particular device. But, if they were to start trying to drive a real car, that lack of experience, training, and character would have the potential of hurting and even killing them and other people. As you grow in these spiritual studies and prayers, you grow in your experience, training, and character, so you can be trusted with greater opportunities.

Just because a young person wants to do something doesn’t mean they are ready or capable of doing it. Just because other young people’s parents allow them to do certain things doesn’t mean you, as a parent, should allow yours to do it. Why? It could be that your young person isn’t ready to handle the responsibility of it. It could be because you care more for your child than other parents. In other words, because of Jesus’ incredible knowledge, foreknowledge of the future, understanding, and wisdom, He makes perfect decisions, as to when you are ready for what things.

As you and Jesus move through these books and take advantage of the steps, principles, and power, you will gain experiences, training, and better levels of character. As this happens, Jesus will trust you with more and more aspects of His power and abilities. The major area where Jesus works on you the most, is in the area of your attitudes and character. He cares more about why you do what you do than what you accomplish. He cares about your motives and methods much more than what you achieve. He isn’t impressed with “great” successes that were arrived at through questionable means.

The way you think, feel, talk, and act doesn’t change easily. Even though Jesus wants to do incredible things in you, with you, for you, and through you, He puts a priority on what kind of person you are. That can delay things you really want. When you aren’t emotionally, mentally, or spiritually ready for something and Jesus refuses to give it to you, that is often the time when you decide to get it through other means. But when you find out how much you weren’t ready for it, it’s too late.

If you believe in Jesus, you will trust Him to decide what you should get and what you should not be given. But, there can be a lot of reasons why things aren’t coming your way. It can be because it is wrong, bad, or evil. Or, it can be that you still need more experiences, training, and character improvement. If that is the case, then it is just a matter of you working with Jesus to apply yourself to the reading, studying, and living out the principles in these books. Once you demonstrate to Him you are ready, a lot more things will miraculously start coming your way.
