Welcome To
“Living The Christ-Life”
Devotional Series

A lot of Christians only know about the fact that Jesus died for their sins. Another big thing He did was raise from the dead for our new way of life. Being forgiven for all our sins is wonderful; but it is incredible that He has given us a whole new life to live. This new life is often called the Christian life because it is a life provided by Christ. However, there is a lot of confusion as to who is responsible for living it.

We will be looking at the Christian life from a better perspective. We will see that Jesus wants to live the Christian life in and through us. To better explain the difference between what people call the Christian life and what Jesus wants, we are calling it the Christ-life. It is a life that we can live through the attitudes, character, power, and personality of Christ.

Being delivered from all our sins is to be set free from doing things we used to do. That means we have stopped doing certain things. God isn’t all about us not doing all of these things. God is about us starting to do things we weren’t able to do before. Living a life of not doing things is restrictive. Living a life of doing all kinds of wonderful, new things is abundant living.
We are going to be looking at Scriptures that show us how to start living the life that Jesus has given us. These Scriptures will heal our heart and turn us into a whole new person. As we expose ourselves to these Scriptures over an extended period of time, they start to influence our thinking and they empower our abilities.

These changes don’t take place immediately. We have to be willing to let them “soak” into our heart and become a part of us. Many times we move on to other areas of exposure before these Scriptures become a major part of us. The Christ-life is all about a relationship with Jesus; it isn’t a new subject to simply be learned. It isn’t a Biblical principle that you have to just understand; it is a faith, trust, and yielding relationship that is to be lived.

Don’t get discouraged just because you don’t see changes at first. Trust God to start growing you into the person you have always wanted to be.

God bless you abundantly as you move forward in your spiritual journey.
