It’s Either Paganism Or It’s Discipleship
We must not live like the world lives. We must not follow the patterns and systems of this world. I know everybody is living like a lot of us are living. This, however, doesn’t mean that it has God’s stamp of approval on it. Jesus is pointing out to us that this is a world system trait. He wants us to see it like it is. He doesn’t want us to wait until we see the full picture in eternity. Once we enter into eternity, we can’t make any changes in how we lived our life here. So, He is giving us all the answers to the test now.

It is an open Book test. We can read these words and get it right. But, it has to be gotten right the first time. There are no second chances in eternity.
It doesn’t matter whether or not we agree with it. The truth is the truth. It will be the way Jesus says it will be. It doesn’t do any good to argue with it. But, it does do good to take it before God and let Him explain how it is. If we don’t think it really means this, it is still in our best interest to take it before Him and make sure. He will answer any of our questions, He will explain any misunderstandings, He will help us with any lack of willingness, and He will empower us to do the right thing. Our heavenly Father knows what we need and He will give it to us, if we pray for it, believe for it, and yield to Him when He starts living it through our life. |
